Takahiro Tambara, chief information officer at Uniqlo’s parent, Fast Retailing, said mini RFID chips placed in the price tags enable customers to check themselves out of stores. The chips, used to track items throughout the supply chain, have helped significantly reduce out-of-stocks and improve the customer experience in the retailer’s stores.
