High-End Outerwear Brand Nobis Launches Resale Program

Canadian premium outerwear brand Nobis has launched a new peer-to-peer resale program, NEXT by Nobis, in partnership with Recurate.

“Nobis has long been committed to creating durable, high-quality performance outerwear that will take our consumer from season to season and will stand the test of time,” said Robin Yates, Co-founder and VP of Nobis in a statement. “To complement the technical decisions we make, including the use of high-quality materials, craftsmanship and timeless style, it only felt natural for us to take it a step further to extend the lifespan of our products by creating NEXT by Nobis.”

Customers in North America can now resell Nobis jackets they no longer need by creating an account and posting images and details on the product’s condition. Pricing is decided based on the item condition, and products will be vetted by authenticity verification service Certilogo. Those items can then be purchased on the same site by customers looking for Nobis quality (new outerwear from the brand typically sells at anywhere from $650 to $1,500) at a discounted price.

When an item sells, sellers have the option to receive payment of 100% of the sale price as a Nobis credit or to receive 70% of the sale price in cash value.

“Our partnership with Recurate is our latest sustainability initiative within our framework of long-term goals,” said Elina Nurkka, Director of Research, Innovation and Sustainability at Nobis in a statement. “We are excited to be the first Canadian outerwear brand to bring a peer-to-peer resale program to the market and offer our customers a chance to make more sustainable choices by shopping our NEXT by Nobis program.”
